Possibly Roy Jones's biggest enemy in the ring. Tarver and Jones
have been going at it for years. Tarver claims Jones is ducking him,
Jones says Tarver does not deserve a shot. So now they get to settle
their differences. This was Roy Jones's most taxing fight. Never has
one seen Jones in a close fight. Tarver had the momentum by
cornering Jones on the ropes and whacking away. When in the
center of the ring Jones had the superior speed and landed more
shots. The majority of the time though Tarver had control of the fight.
Running down the stretch of the fight Tarver seemed to have the fight
in his hands. It was a very close fight and I would still give it to Jones.
The majority decision was well deserved for Jones.
